The Hotel d'Urville team is very pleased to announce that we have won the 'Best Restaurant in Marlborough' award in this year's Wild Tomato Dine Out Awards.
The magazine - distributed to readers in Nelson and Marlborough - made their selections for the best café, restaurant, bar and music venue based on a range of criteria including service, produce, location, presentation, inspiration and price.
Wild Tomato also awarded the 'Best Bar in Marlborough' title to Scotch Wine Bar in Blenheim, while Urban Grocery Delicatessen BV Gourmet in Blenheim was named the 'Best Café in Marlborough', and Le Cafe the 'Best Music Venue with Dining'.
At Hotel d'Urville, we are proud to specialise in fine cuisine using New Zealand meat and produce - our restaurant has been awarded the 'Hallmark of Excellence Award for Culinary Achievement in Beef and Lamb' for the last four consecutive years.
Executive Chef Maree Connolly was also previously awarded the 'New Zealand Beef and Lamb Ambassador' title, and was the winner of the 'Best Wine and Food Match' at the 25th anniversary Marlborough Wine Festival.
Our menu is known for its creativity and use of the very best local New Zealand ingredients - including such delicacies as Foie Gras, Cloudy Bay Clams, Venison Carpaccio, NZ Bred Wagyu Ribeye and Canterbury Duck Breast. Our wine list also features a number of the local wines Marlborough is so well known for.
